AP question ???

I have gotten confused after reading various threads on AP travel. I have recently lost my job and want to travel to India urgently. I have a valid EAD, valid AP and a H1B too. Do I need a employment verificaiton letter from my employer for travel (ie with AP). What other documents need to be carried along.

I have read experiences of people but is there a categoric rule stating if any document is needed from the employer.

You don't need anything else except your AP.

We did take EVL and paystubs just for peace of mind, but were not asked about it.

If you can't get EVL in time, take your paystubs with you.

That should be fine.

The only quest they asked as San Francisco Airport was .. Who is teh petitioner .. ( the company name ) ?
 
You can travel and come back without any problem. You have to show only AP. No need to show any other documents, unless they ask for it. Keep a copy of I-485 receipt. They asked me only one question - is your employer sponsoring the gc, I replied yes. No more questions. I hope you should be fine, may consult your attorney.
