AP Question. Can I get AP at Chicago INS?

MY 485 is pending (RD:Aug 2001) at VSC with residential address in DENVER,CO. My company headquartered in NJ sends all applications to VSC as a policy. I just changed jobs and moved to Chicago. I have not changed the address on file so far and do not want to change it. Can I apply AP for my spouse and kid at Chcago local INS? Will there be any problem? Has anyone applied like this. Please share the info. Thanks in advance.
 
Generally only family based

485 adjustees are the one who can apply for a AP in local INS. All others have to send it to their service center and if it is more than 90 days from AP RD, can go to the district office (chicago is one) and get the AP.

Quick question: how are you gonna get the AP if you don\'t file the AP with your new address? If you want to continue using your old address then that may be a problem because INS requests non-forwarding mail delivery.
