AP pending since Feb 19,03

TSC received my AP request on Feb.19,03 and I am still waiting...I need to travel abroad around July 20th and every time I call I get a different answer with no solution.

Has anyone know how to expedite this or has anyone have received AP approval with similar date (receiving date)

Just in case, my case is related to I485 (employment) and was file though a lawyer. My lawyer only says "you will have to wait, that's it"

I don't know about TSC, but my parents got their AP from the Dallas District Office in exactly 4 mos. RD=1/27/03, Approval=5/27/03.
 
Get AP from local BCIS

Go to a local BCIS field service office and get AP citing emergency reasons.
 
TSC is processing 01/09/03

TSC processing dates show they were processing I-131s dated 01/09/03 (12/10/02 if filed C-9) by June 30th

If you have proof of your need to travel, and a way to show it cannot be changed; you may apply at the local BCIS office. If they accept your argument, they will issue an AP for you.
If you leave without the AP, your I-485 will be considered abandoned. It doesn't help to leave and have someone send it to you since the AP must be approved before you leave the US.

Be aware that most local BCIS offices are not accepting walk-ins any longer and require an appointment that may take from one to two weeks.

Thanks for your responses. I will try going to the local office and see what happens.
The only issue I'm not clear is if I can make an appointment at the Miami office, instead of waiting in line for ever
 
Try their new website service

The Miami office has a pilot project and is issuing appointments via Internet. Try there and you may skip the lines.

Will look around to see if can get you the URL.

I went to the local office in Miami and I was told that the only way to get in is by appointments.
They gave me a little piece of paper with the address:

I visited this page and the first available date is July 21.....
I now have an appointment for July 21st

There is usually one big line next at the building (Miami) and this serve for the people who'd like to use the internet and request an appointment.....

I think you need to go to Local BCIS,as somebody already suggested
 
to INSsuck I guess you were lucky because when I started my process I was told 55 to 60 days and when I was in the middle of my waiting period, INS changed the waiting period to 150/180 days.

I really don't know that, but when I asked my lawyer and visited the immigration web page I was told to go in person to the local office and when I arrived there I found out about the local web page. I guess the best way would be to go there and ask any time of day...if you're near by ...I guess.
 
It's only Miami

It's a pilot project, they are testing in Miami only. We simple mortals must either call or write to the local office.

Lucky Xela got the appointment at once. Not very soon, but at least got it fast. Hopefully we will have the same service too.

Just in case somebody is following my case....I went to my appointment today at the Miami local office and tried to explain that I need my AP document approved because my job requires me to travel. I was told that "sorry, but we cannot do anything here" .....I replied that I was going to loose my job and the answer was "it's not our problem, after Sept 11 everything has changed"
My AP petition was received on Jan 19, 2003 at the Texas center

I have called 1800 number several times and there is always a different answer. The were the ones who suggested to go to the local office in Miami, so I did and nothing happened.

By the pace TSC is moving I should get my AP this week. I hope.
