AP or H1B? What should I use?

I have a current H1B Visa stamp, valid till Nov.2004 and also my first AP valid till May 2004. I have my 140 approved since July 2003 and I485 pending.
1) What should I use to reenter US from India ? I am planning to travel in next 2 weeks and coming back in another 2 weeks.
2) Should I show my AP at POE or should get in showing my H1B stamp?
3) What are the pros & cons later, in using either one?

----- I will use H1visa stamp

----- Show Passport Visa H1 status has advantages
3) What are the pros & cons later, in using either one?

Ours was the same situation. We showed our H1. But we had our EAD and parole documents with us just in case.
