AP not approved - need to go to india

Guys - I am confused due to the new laws.

Can I get an AP if it still hasn't been approved even after 30days

I filed mine in VSC - RD Jan 29 2003. I need to go to india to get married - maybe 2/3 weeks from now.

Earlier I know we could get an AP the same day - is it the same now.???
 
Possibility of same day AP is dim. Only way to find out is by walking into the INS office and finding out.
 
Thats true, I called the local INS office and explained my case. They told me they normally dont encourage such requests, expcept if I have an emergency ( and that too i would need proof!!)

But i did manage to get my application expedited from VSC by talking with an IIO. That does work sometimes I guess!

Even I have not heard anything from INS until today. I dont understand what these sucking INS folks are up to.
 
No AP Approval Yet !!!

My RD for 485/EAD/AP is 12/20/2002 and ND is 1/21/2003

FP Done : 2/8/2003
EAD Approved : 2/26/2003
Card Received : 3/5/2003

AP Not Approved Yet .......:confused:

What is going on at the Wonderful World of Vermont Center ???
