AP in CA

Hi,
I applied AP in 11/10/02. The ND is 11/10/02. I have an emergency. I need go to my hometown in Jan. 2003. If by that time, I still didn't receive my approve AP, do I have any way to get an emergency AP to travle outside USA?

I did not try to do this myself but I think if you walk in INS office
and ask for AP they will issue

Also it took me 5 weeks sharp to get AP few weeks ago in september (when INS looked sleeping like now)

Walk into INS office worth trying anyway.

Thanks for your info. Actaully my ND is Oct.11, 2002. Not 11/10/02. Hope I can get my ap by Dec.
