I applied for my wife's AP in Sept. 2002. Looks like the lawyer forgot to send some additional docs, or INS needed some additional document, so they requested for more documents. So we still have not got the AP.
Here is my question. I myself have got the green card 8 months ago. My wife does not yet have AP. (485 processing FP not yet done) My thinking goes this way, if we plan a trip to India, I plan to be back in a month and my wife will be back in June. Even though we have not got AP in 4 months.(RFE sent in Jan first week)
I'm hoping we definately will get her AP by June. Can I do this??? Lawyer says, its not good to travel outside USA without having proper documents. Anything may happen and your wife may get stuck in India. Is this at all feasible?? Or can I take the risk and go to India and when I come to USA mail the AP to my wife who will be back in June.
Please advise. Please tell me if there are any alternatives, such as getting AP by going to local INS. Mine is TSC(dallas)
