AP entry experience in JFK, Newyork

Recently re-entered U.S via Newyork. Basically all you have to show is your passport and the Advance Parole documentation. Mine was a multiple entry one. Stand in the line for visitors, etc.
Show the AP doc and passport along with the customs and immigration form(white one) given by the airlines, to the officer. He\'ll review them and then give it back. He\'ll also ask to go to another room. Take a seat and wait your turn. Another officer inside will review your docs, make copies. Then he\'ll attach the I-94 and write Paroled on that. If you\'re "good" he\'ll also say "Welcome back home Sir" with a wide grin :)
He gave back the AP doc fully back after making copies.
Even though I was having H1 status, I didn\'t have the H1 visa on the passport. The officer did not ask anything about it.

I renewed my passport recently. My new passport does not have any visas. My old passport had all kinds of visas like 1 F1, 3H1\'s,etc. But I didn\'t show the old passport to the officer.

Your is a classic example of AP to H1. Have u asked your attorney what u need to do in order to revert back to H1. Have u shown valid H1 petition to at POE. Pl post your findings.

Thankx

I already traveled several times using the AP and always had to go to the room. Since they always wait for the line outside to be over before they send people the employees to work on the room, I don\'t hurry any more, I\'m the last one to leave the plane, etc.
Anyway, it\'s not a good feeling to wait on the room, look like a concentration camp...
