Immigration Gurus,
I have 485 pending and I have to travel to india this month for 2 weeks due to family emergency. i have valid EAD/Advance parole (expires on 12/30/06) and renewals already applied for next year.
I also applied for Canadian PR as a back up and the process is completed. I have an immigrant (one time entry) visa in my passport to land in Canada till Nov 30th 2006 to apply for my PR card.
Please suggest...
a. Is it risky to travel to india on valid US travel docs while canada temporary immigrant stamp is applied in my passport. I HAVE NOT LANDED IN CANADA USING THIS VISA YET. please advise!!
b. Is it true that after landing in Canada and coming back to US, US officers at the port of entry take the copy of landing papers of Canada and inform INS and this can revoke or cause delays in pending 485??
