AP & EAD Renewal, Local Office or Service Center?Moved to non-Service Center Area

Hi,
I have filed 485 in Feb 1st week 2002.
Received EAD, AP for both me and my wife in March 2002.
They will expire on March 27 2003.
I am with the same Employer all through. Job made me move to Chicago, (Service Center is Vermont).
Our H1&H4 expire on March 31 2003. Company is not willing to file H1 extension, though me and my wife never used EAD, AP so far and still on H1B.

My questions are
1. Filing EAD and AP locally would be OK or need to send them to Vermont Center? Which option(s) is faster , less risky?

2. If my wife goes to India in Feb 2003 and I get EAD,AP in March and send them,
will it be a problem if she enters using new EAD and AP. ( As she has permission
upto March27th 2003 based on original AP at the time she is leaving USA).

If you have the time , send in ur renewal papers to VSC. Except for Boston ( and maybe Newark) , I have not seen any other local INS centers take up renewals.

The second question is trickey. I am not sure if she will be allowed to use on AP while leaving the US and using another one while getting in.

I would suggest getting EAD and AP renewed and using the new AP for travel.
