Ap Dilemma! - Rapidact, Myladoor....need Ur Attention Please!!!

Folks, your input has helped me in the past and i need your help again!

I am applying for my 485 and wish to apply for AP to travel in October for my wedding. My
problem is my lawyer says i can use AP only for business purpose and not for personal reasons. He
wants me to get a letter from my employer that i need to travel for work and the letter he has drafted
for me sounds very flaky and my employer will not sign it. Should i rather apply for AP on my own
once i get the 485 reciept??? Is it advisable to do so?? Does one have to give a letter stating why
you need to travel?? If i apply for AP after my 485 reciept, will i get it in time for travel in october??
please help!!!

I know you did not seek an advice from me, but I could not help it.

I have taken Parole Visa two times and travelled to India on both visas... no problem.

To further comfort you, I got approved on 5/30 and got my passport stamped today.

Ignore the crap the lasyer is giving you... take your receipt notice and get an advanced parole visa from the INS office nearest you.

Hope99,

You cannot bring your spouse on H4 if you travel on Advance Parole since your status with change to Parolee instead of H1. Check with your lawyer.
