AP application and SSN for dependent

Hi,
We have valid EAD and my spouse recently applied for SSN coz there was a possibility of her starting work. She got her SSN but she is not working.
So I assume that she is still in H4 visa status. Is my assumption correct?

Also, AP application asks for SSN. Should I provide SSN for my wife's application in this case?

Yes. Obtaining (or using) an SSN is not a violation of H-4 status.

Also, AP application asks for SSN. Should I provide SSN for my wife's application in this case?

If she has one, provide it.

If she has one, provide it.

If she has an EAD card, is not base on her H-4 status, because an H-4 can't work. Check in which status she was given the EAD.
