AP - advice needed....

Guys,
I applied for AP more than 6 months back and not received it yet. I know, people are waiting for AP, who have applied even before me.
But I need to go to India in 2 week.... What can I do to get AP ??? Approach Local INS office ???? HELP / Advice needed please......

Same with me, AP receipt date July 9, 2003. Attorney said it is taking 7 months to process AP nowadays at Texas service center.
 
I dont think APs are issued at local centers (correct me if I am wrong). I think if you show proof reason for an emergency travel, they would issue a AP in a week. But my ND is 05/15/03 and hasn't been approved. I have a friend who did that this May at NSC. So I think it is possible.

I would strongly recommend contacting your congressman's office. At the very least, they can talk directly to the TSC. You do need some special cause (if not an emergency...) that can justify expediting your case. A colleague of mine had his case successfully expedited (his ND was Aug '03, case approved early December after RFE for photos). They even fedexed his documents overnight to his house. Good luck!

where are u from . which state, if its FL
U can try in the local office.

go with the application, fee ($110) and photo (3) and a letter stating the need to go. (copies of receipt nos 485 etc etc)

If your application is pending with TSC for more then 6 months then you have a better chance to get
(dont forget to high light the pending application while speaking to the IIO)

you have to take appointment online first .
they will issue document in 2 to 5 working days

FYI

the I512 issued in local office is different from the TSC,
it is a white paper with photo pasted to it .
(i mean to say we dont see statue of liberty mark or any back ground)

Yes, I'm from Tampa, Florida. So we need to pay again $110. I don't mind about the money. We've already wasted more for every renual, which is a big scandel by itself.
At the end, if i can get it..... that will be great..
