AOS while in removal proceedings

hello,

Is it possible to apply for AOS while in removal proceedings? (marriage while in removal proceedings).

I-130 was filed. we got back the "I-130 interview will be scheduled" notice

Once the I-130 is approved:
Must I file AOS with the immigration court or USCIS?
Does immigration court take years to get through with the AOS?

I-130 took about 10 months with USCIS (still not done)
Will take another 10 months to schedule the I-130 interview?

sorry for the "time" questions. It's been almost a year, and not being able to work or drive is very frustrating.

mainly I'm confused on what to do after I-130 is approved.

Do I file I-485A with the penalty fee? or is that no longer effective?
Will the judge be able to adjudicate Working permit (I-765)?

any general advice?

thank you

your I485 needs to be keyed in the USCIS system ie. take the 485 application to the district office that has juridisction for where you stay. USCIS will stamp your I485 and issue you a receipt. They will keep the check and give you the I485 back with the stamp which then needs to be submitted to the court where you will be called for a master calendar hearing. If your removal proceedings are cancelled the immigration judge will give you an option if you would like your I485 adjudicated with the court or do you want it sent to your DO for further processing.

But please hire a good immigration attorney as this is a pretty complex issue.

thank you.
if case is dismissed and i'm given the choice
which, do you think, is a better/faster option? court or DO?
