AOS interview much earlier than expected

I just got an appointment letter for my AOS intevriew (immediate relative - parents category). The letter arrived only 2,5 months after the Receipt Date and my appoinment will take place only 4.5 months after the Receipt Date of my application. I was under the impression that this process takes 6 months - 1year (my DO is Newark). Not that I'm complaining, but I'm wondering, is anyone aware of a change in their process that would have resulted in quicker processing times? I also read in other posts that some cases that are clear-cut are being sent to CSC for quicker processing and that the interviews are being waived for IM parent category. I thought my case was very simple, should I be concerned that I'm being called in for an interview? Would some of you in the same shoes be so kind to share your exeriences? What kind of questions should I expect as a parent of a USC?

Per my research, there seems to be some confusion going on in Newark DO. Haven't yet come across a single case from Newark whose interview was waived. But first of all, will you be able to tell us whether you got your FP notice, or did you get IL only, but not FPed yet? I shall then be able to give you more input.
Also will you be able to post your timeline in detail, including interview date?

Sometimes because is parent related issue is going faster than the normal timeline for marriage cases (for example).
There are sometimes they waive the interview, but that is at discretion of the Director of the DO, who knows. But in general is a normal interview just to know the relationship between you and your parents and if they know your family or things like that...for me is silly since I mean that is why the BC (birth certificate) is for, but I think since so many counterfeat occured they sometimes want to check out everything and now more than ever.

Good luck,
