AOS from B-2 Based on Green Card

I have completed biometric today by walking in. Do you know what to expect in terms of timeline for Work Authorization and I-485? I submitted my AOS from B-2 visa Based on my wife who is a Green Card holder March 29th to Chicago Lockbox.

Also, I submitted Work Authorization Expedite, do you know when can I hear back from them regarding whether they will approve the expedite?

The timeline I find is based on DV visa only.

Thanks, but I'm asking how long it takes from Biometric?
it doesn’t work that way. The case processing is based on the date it was filed. Doing biometrics earlier may mean the background check is completed earlier and prevent a delay, but it’s not the “start date” for anything.

I understand and thank you Susie, I guess my question is do we have similar information to what you have on the DV visa (below link)?
Above sheet show that the interview comes within 30 days from doing the Bio for my field office. Is AOS from Visitor is the same? or is there similar table?

DV based AOS applications are unique, they do not follow the typical AOS process which is why we track the timeline for DV based AOS in this forum. Family or employment based AOS applications are too broad, this forum does not track them since the basic processing timeline provided by USCIS applies to them.

It works differently. The spreadsheet exists in part because Uscis does not provide the same processing time etc information for DV that they do for other types of i485 applications. The seemingly short time between bio and interview (a) definitely does not always happen and (b) if it seems it is so it is more because the entire DV process is compressed vs other applications. Again, your i485 processing time depends on your field office and filing date, and not on when you did biometrics.
