AOS for teen

I am applying for AOS for myself and my 11 yr old, but am having difficulty clarifying exactly what to apply for with my 11 yr old!

Can anyone clarify or give me some guidance on the following, before i send the wrong form or an unnecessary form, thanks:

1. Is the cost for filing for a child LESS than for an adult? Some info on a govt website i read said it was less, but wasn't clear.

2. Does my 11 yr old need a medical exam?

3. Similarly, do i file the biometric forms for my 11 yr old?

4. When can my 11 yr old attend school in the US, is it while AOS is pending?

5. Can the same person sponsoring my Affidavit, sponsor my 11 yr old without extra co-sponsors if he is already sponsoring me?

Pardon my ignorance in this area, I thought i had it all figured out!

OH, also, as a side note, do i send money orders off with the forms or do i file and wait for them to send me something? That seems an awful lot of money to send in one hit.

Thanks for your time.

1) what do the instructions on I-485 say?
2) yes
3) there are no biometric forms to be filed. There is a biometric fee, and you have to see in the instructions to I-485 whether it applies to a child under 14
4) yes
5) the person who filed I-130 for your child (or any other immigrant petition) must be the sponsor.

you have to send the fees with the forms. It's better to use personal checks since they are easier to track.
