I am getting 'due to temporary problem blah blah" message for my case on USCIS automated phone status. I am getting this message for past 2 days.
Online Message is stll "responsed to your request .."

Derivatives' got correct phone and online message though LUDs are same like mine.

Anyone out there with similar problem? any theory/pattern/logic/philosophy???

Its happening with lot of people in the foram.

But what causes this to happen and what is the outcome? There is a seperate thread for 'missing cases' in CSC forum .

Anyone outta talked to rep to find out reason for such message?

forget it.. I am going to Macaroni Grill :D

Couple of things to be noted in relation to this subject.

1. From my probe, the missing phone cases are those having

On [date] we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

as their online message.

2. For this reason, a missing phone case does not necessarily indicate approval. A missing on-line case, however, indicates a likely approval.

me tooooooo......

For me and my family everyone are getting same message.....

So don't worry and Enjoy X'mas time......

don't you think it is weird? This automated system is efficient enough to update message when they receive our FP from FBI But the same system gives problem where it internally updates our change of address.

I am getting the same....

GCJ....

It is due to our case status enquiry results. May be USCIS hasn't introduced the phone message for status enquiry and doesn't know how to pronounce...so we are getting temp problem results.

wish it means we are near to approval....however family member for whom no case status enquiry was initiated they are getting same old messages...

so wait continues, with EB3 retroo......it will be even longer

Hey Rajudm, you are still here?? I thought you were approved long back.

Man.. this PD stuff is killing me. My PD is 11FEB2002. Someone posted that PD date will move, if only, in April...... If I do not get approval by 31st, God only knows how many more months I would have to wait.

GCJai...

Unfortunately I am still around waiting for the mirage called GC approval. As soon as I think I am there it runs away from me.

If nothing happens before Dec 31 (which is more likely given that FBI name check reported no records found), it will be a long wait since my PD is July 21, 2002.

I came back from Bangalore last week. Looking at the developments and opportunities in Bangalore I feel there is nothing attractiveness in US GC dream. A good opportunity will make me move away from US anytime since I already have Australian citizenship as a backup.

Next few weeks will be interesting!!!!!!

The greatest frustation is that the FBI doesn't even care to reply whether our name-checks are cleared or not. They are lagging 8 weeks behind (moving at a snail's pace). If they are really doing the work (clearing the pending name-checks) behind the scenes without informing us, the ball falls into USCIS's court, as always. But will they get the time to hit the ball before Dec 31. I guess it's luck. As a Tukka (fluke), I applied for AP2. Let's see.

Missing phone message means it is not part of automated systems? This is scary. what was the message you were getting in the past? if possible can you share your 485 LUD.

interview

I did not know anything. The LUD never changed and it was stuck up since June 2003 "On June 3, 2003 we received the review of your fingerprint .... ...." Since then nothing, I did FP2 again nothing. I was worried. I called Cust. Serv. 3-4 times, initiated 2 inquiries 2 months ago, again nothing. Last week she told me case was transfered to Boston in september for interview. Today I received that interview letter and who knows how this will end up with these retrogressions we are seeing.

Message

The message I was getting in the past was that of "On June 3, 2003 we received the review of your fringerprint ....." I updated my address, did FP2, initiated 2 status inquiries, no LUD changes no Status changes whatsoever. The address got updated though since i received that letter saying so. Other than that nothing at all. The case dissapeared fromt the phone systen in mid-august.

Best luck to your Interview. I do not think PD retrogression will affect you. PD retrogression is for EB3 people born in India/China and Philipines born.

Any guess, why your case got transfered? was there any out of state address change?

As per my lawyer this is due to address change. Often IOs want to verify if you actually did update your address with the DHS using AR-11. They will need proof that you did so. Other than that I was told that this is random
