Hi everyone

Our I485 was denied in Jan2009 and we applied MTR which was accepted and they reopened I-485 on Feb 20, 2009.
Do you know how long before I can get a decisionon I-485? PD is Apr 30, 2001...EB3, ROW.

I heard that usually after MTR it shouldn't last so long for them to make a decision on a case.
Anyone knows any more info about this?

Thank you

I called USCIS today and I got transferred to an IO who told me it could take another 3 to 6 months. I really don't know why so long. By accepting the MTR they say that the denial reason has been overcome...everything else should be fine since they didn't ask for anything else. So when they pick up those 2 cases (I290B and I-485) and the issues with I-485 are resolved with MTR why don't they just approve it on the spot?

Hi,

I am also on the same boat like you. I have filed MTR in the beginning of March. I have received a finger-printing notice now. Not because they want to approve it and it is just to show that they are working on it and to make us keep quite. So much hassle I am going through too. I do not know when God is going to end this travel.

They usually say 3-6 months when they don't know what is going on. It is like a standard response, so don't sweat on it.

Since EB3 is "unavailable" across the board, you have to wait for October VB, which should move past your 2001 PD for ROW. Then give them a couple months for processing and guess what, you are looking at 3-6 months :)

Hopefully that is how it turns out. Good luck.
