Anyone still waiting for approval after replying RFE(1 month or more) and 2FP? Pls share ....


RD 8/8/2002.
First FP Jan 29, 2003.
RFE(EVL, financial, birth) received by CIS 04/28/2004. (online date changed 04/29, 05/03)
2FP Received : 05/17/2004
2FP taken - 05/18/2004 ( approx. 20 days after rfe received). Online status updated to say "fp received on 05/26/2004. processing resumed..."
AD : ???

On April 28, 2004, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case......

I am wondering why our cases are taking so long. Many cases are
getting approved after a few weeks of replying rfe.

is your rfe other than evl and birth? ( company financial for mine)?
is your fp done after rfe was received ? (maverick i guess yours is)?
are our cases waiting for some clearence. (maybe namecheck)?

Please share your views... if you feel like it.

ohioApp , My RFE was an EVL. I think the 2nd FP would have added to the delay. Not sure how the entire name check process works and why would they need to do it along with the 2nd FP when my name hasn't changed (not that my fingerprints have).
I did call the FBI and they mentioned that they processed the FPs and sent them back to the USCIS.

My theory is that they would want to adjudicate older cases before they get to ours. Haven't seen too many 08/02 or 09/02 cases being adjudicated.

FP - 2Fp probably did add to our delay. i hope our cases are not lost in the dark
again because our fp had expired. I am still waiting to see a case approved
quickly with fp taken after rfe was received by cis.

NameCheck - Maybe they added more names to their namecheck database, and this time we got a hit(literally).

I guess your theory is right. My guess is i got a rfe ahead of so many people,
because my fp was going to expire, and uscis wanted to process my case before my fp expired. But, unfortunately my rfe reply was received by uscis
around the time my fp was going to expire. If this is right, then i have lost
the short lived preffered status. :)
 
ohioapp,
we (me & spouse) got the notice last week and it was scheduled for July. But I thought of tring our luck with early FP under the assumption that our case might be waiting for the FP. and gave the FP today.
She also told me that between next week and end of july there are over 2000+ FP scheduled and have assigned 4 new staff(2 staff currently) to take FP.
 
My RFE recd by INS on Mar 26, 2004 and its been more than couple months. I am still waiting for approval. Don't know why its taking long time. Any idea? :rolleyes:

I-485 ND is Apr 28, 2002. RD is May 2, 2002.

Can you tell me what is the Employment Verification Letter RFE about, do they also ask for pay stubs?

RFE Issued for my wife Jan 29, 2004 (Birth Affidavit and Proof of my spouse)
RFE Received for my wife case - Feb 18, 2004
RFE Issued on my case Mar 9,2004 (EVL & Birth Affidavit)
RFE Received on my case Mar 26,2004
(don't know why they sent separate RFE's for me and my wife)

Hi Tw,
For EVL, they don't need the pay stubs, just a letter from the employer saying that you are currently employed
