Anyone got I140 approved in May by NSC (Nebraska Service Center)?

A confirmation letter will be sent out with 3 to 5 days after NVC assigned a case number for you.

The LIN number is actually entered into the NVC\'s system fairly soon after they receive your file from the service center -- it takes weeks after that before they then assign the NVC case number.

Once your case is created, the AVM message will change to "connecting to an operator" or "no operators at this time.." depending on the time of the day you call.
The AVM update is pretty quick. I beleive it updates around 8 PM every evening.. (Once i had called at 7:45 got old info.. tried again in 10 minutes and the phone kept on ringing.. tried in another 10 minutes and the msg had changed).
Once you hear this message, you can talk to an operator and get the case #. Until then, the operator will also tell you that 140 has been received and it takes 4-6 weeks to create a case.

as you can see from my earlier messages, NVC is not accepting FAX of reconfrimation letter anymore. Therefore, I have fedexed in a letter with my case number and etc. Ant it has been received by NVC this morning. I called them up and the operator told me that I need to give them 10 to 15 days just to "match up the letter with my case". Now, since you are very knowledgable regarding their operation, could you make an educated case as when I can expect they actually accept letter and create the P3 for me? Do I really need to wait for 10 to 14 days? Hope to hear you valuable opioins.

vincent.. there is no disconnect. i had faxed in the letter but was still told 10 days to match and process !!
anyone else having problem replying to posts here ? browsing and reading is fast but takes a terribly long time to load the page when i hit reply and post message.

Thanks for your reply. However, we have a disconnection here. I did NOT fax in the letter as they no longer accept fax. I used FEDEX to deliver my letter and the mail room received my letter this morning.
Now should there be a big difference here?

you will get a reconfirmation letter
trust me, I even listed a foreigen address in my I140 application form. no matter what the operator told you, you will get one unless, i suspect, you know the director of NVC personally. but since you are asking questions here, i guess that won\'t be the case.
