what happens after PERM is filed?

Can someone explain what happens after PERM is filed?
Will the employer receive email which includes user name and psw to check the status of application (How long it takes usually?)?
What are the other stages before reaching to "Certified" stage?

Any Letter after Final Review
Dear Friends,
I believe lot of us changed to "Final Review" Status after June 24th rerun.
Have you guys recieved any letter or word from DOL. If yes could you please share the information here.
Also, what are you guys doing for multiple application in Final Review. Are you withdrawing older/newer case. Let it be or something else. My lawyer is suggesting to withdraw.

I have two trials that were denied initially and now in processing. My attorney suggestested that DOL will take care to remove the extra ones and we should answer the sponsorship questionnaire for both so my HR answered both. Mine is was in Final Review as of Last Friday ( I don't know if it is one or two). I did not hear anything from my attorney's office after that.
Also, looks like cabal received a mail asking recruitment report. Cabal, can you tell us if you have a pending application in BEC or witih SWA for same or different job and you applied for new PERM.

Can you let us know if you have a pending appllication in BEC or with SWA from same employer for same or different position. That might answer why some of us have still in Final Review and no change.

I am in the same boat NO word from DOL after June 24th re-run. My understanding was that they are processing first in first out in the final review stage (esp for the bulk of cases converted from Audit Review/Denied to Final Review). I might be wrong, but from the approvals it seems like they are looking at late May/early June cases.
Only thing that surprised me is someone just posted he is waiting on Final Review since May 11th. According to DOL if case is not audited it will be processed in 45-60 days. Now I don't know if this Final Review in which we all are waiting is for real (or are we actually in some Audit stage ).

My case was in final review from 27th June to 6th July 7th it got certified.I have seen in Murthy forum some three guys from same employer like my case got rejected and after rerun went to Final review on 27th June also got cleared on this Friday 8th June.I think your's will be also certified with in this week.But like Cabal it is news to me even in Final review they asked Audit.Cabal that might not be a real audit just checking for recruitment report.Once they receive they might certify so try to send as soon as possible.Anther intresting thing the status chaged for me on Thursday i got my hardcopy on Friday.So they posted then they changed the status what ever it is...

Now my other application, submitted on June 2 has been in final review since June 24 with no news since. I am trying to see if there is any pattern of approval or consideration for approvals.

I am getting worried about this final review stage. I filled on 6/15 and went to audit review in the same day. After 6/24 went to final review. I thought final is not an audit and it should not last forever. However, there have been approvals from final review stage with a filling date after mine. My lawyer does not have any input. I guess there are many of us in the same situation. Cabal's case is promissing, but....I do not know what to expect anymore.

BEC case withdrawn
I applied a similar position labor from same company on March 25th assuming I could use atleast 2 month of priority date. But my employer told me before applying for PERM (around June 25) using old case might trigger audit or delay in processing time. I choose faster processing and asked them to withdraw old case, but I don't know how they withdrawn.
As of now according employer, my case is in certfied status, but I am not as lucky as sairam to receive certified hardcopy before another hurricane (retrogression).

There is a difference between these cases and our cases. These cases are filed on or after 24th, and probably were NEVER in Audit Review like ours.

On 24th re-run a large number of cases like ours moved to Final review. ( If you look at the number of posts in Murthy and this forum you will find out maximum number of people are in this stage). This might have created a sort of queue in the system with all such applications. So we might be in for a longer wait along with no guranteed (45-60) decsion time.
