Anyone Else????????March 2004 I-140

Hi,

It seems like it most of the people got approval for I-140 from Texas.I didn`t get any response, only thing I did different than others changing my lawyer in May.Is anybody else left before March????????

MARCH2004,

I am a March 04 filer and my 140 got approved a few days ago. My lawyer placed an inquiry on the 10th of March and they approved it on the 22nd. I suggest you call the Service Center and place an inquiry on your case. It does seem to work.

Inquiry by phone

MARCH2004,

All of us made inquires via phone call. Please call the Service Center number and tell them that your case is well past 30 days of the current processing date. I believe that should do it. In my case the lawyer called the Service Center so I do not have first hand knowledge of how its done.

Anyone who has first hand experience of how to place an inquiry should be able to enlighten us.

Employer or Attorney can call TSC for 140 status

Employer or Attorney only can call TSC for 140 status .
Ask your employer or attorney to Call 1 800 number and start an enquiry.
Since 140 is employers petition,the rep will not give any info if you call them.
In my case attorney started an status enquiry(on mar 16) and he told me to wait for 30 days to call them again.
So waiting is going on .
Mean while I am hoping the renewal of AP or EAD might trigger 140 approval.

Attorney called 20 days ago

The problem is I changed my attorney , this new one is not real immigration lawyer, he called 20 days ago 800 number and they told him that the case is still in 400-450 days time frame.So my guess he didn`t make a inquiry only called.Therefore I would like try sending a letter this time or my boss could also call but I afraid he will come with same answer without making the inquiry, therefore I thought a written one will be more effective?? :confused:
 
From personal experience

MARCH2004,

I can safely say that writing a letter to the TSC has no effect what so ever. When my case had been transferred to the wrong office, I wrote several letters to TSC and got no response. I am not even sure if anyone reads those.

I would suggest that you make your lawyer earn his keep by asking him to call and place a proper inquiry for your 140. If the service center tells your lawyer that you should hear something in 30 days then you will know that the inquiry has been filed. I say this because this is the standard response to an inquiry these days.

My boss called today and made an inquiry, so I hope I will get the same results that you got. In how many days do you see any decision? On the phone they told him 30 days???
 
start an enquiry ANY LUD CHANGES?????????

If you start an inquiry, do you see any LUD changes or any change????
 
sometimes you do!

It is variable. I had inquiry done last year for my FP's, and LUD changed after the inquiry indicating that they had responded to our query.

I had also done inquiry into 140 application processing through my lawyer, and the LUD did not change till approval, which I got in a few weeks afterwards.

Overall, I think you have done the right thing in initiating the inquiry. If there is no problem, I think you should get approval soon.

Rfe Sent

Made the inquiry and in two days they sent me an email about the RFE.I am a little bit nervous, what is the worst thing they can ask about? I know that financials and education sent with application what could be???????

After my attorney made an enquiry,I have the status changed to the following message and It is not an RFE.
This is the std msg the USCIS will send after enquiry.

Current Status:

On March XX, 2005, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

If it is RFE,it will say 14 days have passed and you have not received letter,call 1 800 etc.

Pls post the details if it is an RFE.

This means that they sent a letter or they will?????
 
Its a Std Msg and not an RFE

That is std msg and not an RFE.
In my case the msg is same as yours.
I think we need to wait for 30 days to get answer from them.
