Anyone Attending CP during March 2007?

Congrats LC2002. From where did you get police clearance cert? What exactly happened at interview. Details would help us trmendously.
 
I got PCC from Indian Embassy, Washington DC within a week. My PP was renewed at Wash. DC in last Dec.

About interview, routine questions like where do you work, how long have you been in US and also with this employer, what is the job (description) etc.
 
Hi, Did consulate office did your FBI namecheck? If so, do you know how long it took for namecheck clearance?

I 140 Approved, CP pending in Mumbai, Getting married - What to do?

Guys,
I googled a lot to find answers for my friend but could not find anywhere. I'm sure someone in this forum would know the answer for sure. I read about 485 case but could not find anything on CP.

His details:
He has been working in IT in India and have never visited US.
LC PD (1/2003), I140-EB3 approved in 5/2005 and his Counsler Processing File is currently seating in Mumbai office and waiting for his PD to become current. He now wants to get married but worried that how he would bring his wife to US.

1) What's the best way to tackle above issue? Get married now or wait for his CP done and then file for her
2) Is it even possible to add his wife's name on the current file so they both get the CP done at the same time and come together?
3) If #2 is possible, then how/what to file to get his wife added and how soon that need to be done(before he gets the call or before his PD becomes current?)

Hi-

When your friend's PD becomes current, he will receive an "Immigrant Visa Fee Bill" from NVC. I guess in this stage he can request to add his wife's name from NVC. If granted, NVC will send another fee bill for his wife.

Thanks for the reply. I think Immigration Bill Fee is already paid by his employer. His file has been seating in Mumbai for past year and a half. If you or anyones else has any more info., please reply.
