Hi All-

Mine was sent to VSC on December 16th.Haven't got the receipt no. yet.Wondering how long will it take to get the receipt no.for the I-140 Petition??

Hi,
You can get receipt in 2 weeks max. I have apppied in Dec-20 and got receipt on dec-28.

Hi srs_568 and sea05,

Please let me know if the receipt no. you got from VSC is through an email or the letter that the service sends to the applicants.i guess the letter will be sent to the Lawyer??.

Eb2 140 no receipt yet

Hi All,

My attorney sent an email saying that he filed 140 on Dec 20th under EB2 (Perm labor) at VSC.

I dont have a receipt yet and he wrote me in another email saying , its take one month to get the receipt but VSC is the fastest in approvals these days...


is that true.

EB2 - 140 for my frd's CASE

My frd company applied his 140 (EB2) on Dec 12 th and Y'day he got his approval mail (140 approved..... (01/06/08) ...what a cool new year start...

I am still waiting for my receipt.. my attorney applied on Dec 20th, 2005 and today is 9th.. jan, 2006 . I did not yet get any receipt.

Pl. let me know if any problem.. and any idea why taking somuch time.

Please let us know what was the Priority Date for your friend EB2 labor.

I think Approval of I 140 depends on the Priority date. Correct me If I am wrong.
 
i-140 and i-485 issues

Dear friends
I am going to file my i-140 and i-485 by next week. Can anyone tell me where my file will be sending to VT ? or Nab.? b'cose I got my LC approved last week from NJ. Also how much will cost for a single person to file both?

My lawyer applied my I140(EB2) on Dec 23rd to VSC and I got the receipt in one week. No other activity since.

COuld someone let me know it is you or your attorney should receive the receipt for I140 application? My attorney filed it on 12/28/2005. I have not received anything yet.

My Attorney sent my I-140 Application on December 14th,yesterday it was sent back to my Attorney's Office for some reason.It was re-sent back the same day with properly re-filing. Don't know why the VSC sent back my application. I guess the attorney screwed up my Application.Did this happen to anyone??

I applied for I-140 (mailed it out) on Dec 1st last month and got the receipt no on 12th, which stated that the application was received on Dec 6th. Pretty fast, huh? It was all done via the lawyer. MY PD is Apr 02, EB2.
Yes, the receipt number will go to the lawyer, not to the beneficiary. If you haven't gotten it yet, call your lawyer.
Did someone say their 140 got approved in less than a month? Amazing! One of my friends applied and gor I-140 approved in 17 days. Talk about setting records! His is a perm case, though, and the PD is only a few months old.
Is it true that the I-140 approval will depend on the PD? How long is the I-140 taking nowadays, any idea?

someone else (britestar) just reported that his/her I-140 EB2 was approved in 8 days at VSC. But I believe these are rare cases.
Details:
I-140: RD 01/16/06, AD: 01/24/06
However I-485 was returned die to wrong check amount.
It takes approx. 2-6 months at VSC for a decision on I-140. Faster for EB-3 (usually between a few weeks to two months). I read somewhere that EB2-NIW and EB1 are taking the longest time -- in excess of 6 months.
 
I have this case status message.Is this the same for everyone ?

"Your I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER was received on December 20, 2005. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 90 and 485 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete".
