anybody's file transferred to baltimore?

Hi, Guys

How did you know your case had been transfered to Baltimore INS local office? Did you hear from AVM or just receive a letter from VSC?

I check my VM last friday, its changed. and today i got notice from VSC saying
"Priliminary review of my I485 has been completed, its been fowarded to Local INS office for action. INS Baltimore will schedule an interview. Please call INS Baltimore for any further inquires"...

My case was transferred to Baltimore on 7/23/2002 too.

RD: 10/1/2001
ND: 11/28/2001
FD: 3/1/2002

One of my friend told me that she waited 7 months for her interview. (from 8/2001 to 3/2002).

INS Schedules Interview based on RD. u r telling 8/01, that means 8/01 is transfer date rite. What is her RD. That is the deciding factor. Now we are seeing October cases, November cases, even december cases got transferred to Baltimore..

So If her RD is of later date, then Interview also held in the later date.

Now, the original time line is 2 - 5 months and what date INS baltimore is processing nowadays..

Thats very hard to find.. Those freaks in INS baltimore dont tell that... I tried that.
 
If we need to wait for more than 4 months for interview, should we start to renew our EAD? Where do we file the I-765, Baltimore INS or VSC? Thanks.
 
When is your EAD expiring?

Are you still on H1 or EAD ?
I think Baltimore does not issue EAD's.
Only Interim EAD. So if 90 days have passed after
applying EAD at VSC and yet did not get EAD, then we can go
to Baltimore and get Interim EAD valid for 240 days.

Some ASC's processes EAD and gives in a day. like Boston.
 
my wife's case transfered: need help

My wifes' case is transfered to Baltimore and no progess in my case. still plays the same old messge about finger prints.

My question, do u think my case also will be transfered to Baltimore? or my case may be approved at Vermont?


any info would be grealy appreciated

Many guys got transferred to Baltimore.

I spoke to two guys., their case also got transferred to Baltimore.

Its taking 3 months for Interview in Baltimore..

But.. Lets wait..

First, any idea how critcal it is? is there any chances they may reject the petion?

second, my wife's case is transfered to baltimore and my case is still pending. and I am the primary applicicant. do you think, my case also will be transfered to baltimore?

Do you know from transfer date, how long to get
letter from baltimore notifying interview date?

I got transferred on Aug 1 and got letter from VSC
telling I have been transferred on Aug 7.

I had a friend who was in same situation and he got approved.
wife had interview. because she did vaccinations etc later
because she was pregnant at time of medical.
This was in Newark. That will be no problem. You can also
go to the interview with her. They just check the originals.

Dont worry.

My case also has been transfered to Baltimore INS on 7/23/02.

Same company, No Address Change since LC.

My I-485 case got transfered to Baltimore. My FP was 07/12/2002

I am so close to the approval. But ...

I got married 2 weeks before submitted 485. I posted another message which stated my opinion regarding why I got transfered: recently married.

Pkala got a different opinion. I agree, it's hard to say. But that's the only reason I can think of. My case is pretty clean.

I got my attorney's response. According to their experience, it might take 4 months to schedule an interview. (Not sure whether it means done with interview.)

As for as i know, its happening for most of the Marylanders. So no need to panic.

My friend told me that for him it took 3 months to schedule the interview.

But one thing i am not sure, are they scheduling the interview based on RD or TD. Which one takes the priority, if RD, then which dates are going on in Baltimore.

Hi Tghar, Its not a case to panic. It may delay ur process by a month or two. If your papers are in order, u will be allset to be an immigrant..

Local Transfers - Baltimore

I got approved my GC from Baltimore on 08/29/2001

(Mine was also Local Transfer Case)

I filed my wife's I-485 in VSC on 08/30/2001 AND

Notice Date for I-485 is - 09/08/2001

Her file is transfered today to Baltimore - 08/08/2002 ...

I do not know why they transfered it to baltimore even though she is my dependent ...And she is not in Job catagory...
