Can someone please post his/her H1B visa stamping experience from the Ottawa embassy?

Lately, I have heard that the embassy has been rejecting a lot of applicants.

I already have 1 - F1 visa and 3 H1B visas stamped in my passport but they are all from Bombay consulate.

Thanks.

IF you have all documents

If you have strong documentation, then you should not be worried.

One more thing you should have very strong reason why you are in Canada for stamping....if you are NOT able to convience Visa Officer then they won't issue a VISA and will ask you to go back to home country and dot it.

Good luck.

thanks for your comments. i am actually going to china the following week after the interview in canada. i thought about getting my visa stamped in china but that would have been a big problem because the consulate keeps the passport for 2-3 days and that would have been problem because i didn't wanna be stuck in china with no passport where the national language is not english....
going back to india didn't make sense either because it would have taken so much time and it would be tough to take too many days off work.

hopefully..this reason is going to be enough.

You should be fine!!!

You should be fine..make sure you take all neccesarry documents....I am sure you must be having a China VISA....as well.....take your client pictures....your managers contact details...if you could get letter from your Manager and ask him to stample his business card with it...that would really help.

Good Luck..

7th Year H1B Stamping in Ottawa,Canada

All,
I heard that Consulate in Chennai are issuing 221(g) for Additional Administrative processing. Is this common in Canadian US Consulate.
I'm going for stamping on Jan 31st,2006 and already have 4 Successful stamping ( 2 in India , 2 In US , st.Louis).
Do i need a Client Letter apart from Employment Verification letter ?
What could be the strong Reason to say if asked why did u come to Canada instead of your Home country ? ( I know no appointment dates , no vacation is usual excuses and CO is not buying this sometimes ).
Do you need anything extra Labor pending documents at SWA office / Backlog center for H1 B stamping .( this is submitted by attorney for 7th Year H1 approval).

Thanks!
