I'm not sure if there is any one who has waited as long as I do, I was in US on an H1B, then married to an US Citizen, here's my case:
04/08/2005 - Married
06/26/2005 - Filed I-130, I-485
07/06/2005 - Received all application receipt
08/2005 - Went to an immigration office to get fingerprint done
12/08/2005 - Interviewd at Immigration Office with my husband, the immigration officer approved I-130 right away, but told us that I need to wait for background check to be completed.
12/11/2005 - Received I-130 approval notice
01/2007 - Called immigration and asked about the status of I-485, he told me 485 is still pending, normal the wait period is 3 months to 3 years, there is nothing they can do unless it has been more than 3 years.
03/2007 - Went back for fingerprint, it automatically expires after 15 months.
06/2007 - I485 is still pending, current status shows as "Current Status: Fingerprints review completed. Processing of this case continues..."
My case is currently at National Benefit Center, any one is/was in the similar situation as I am in? Is there anything I can do to help the case proceed faster?
