Anybody received 1YR PR visa extention or ROLF fee back (after visa expired)?

Canadian PR visa in my passport is expiring in a week.
So far 75% decided not to land (and write off Canada fees/efforts :))

I already got my US GC and plan to live in US at least next 3 years, and scared (thanks to JoeF and others:) of loosing my US GC on re-entry by "landing" in Canada (abandoning US residency issue).

I understand that the pamflet says "visa expiration date cannot be extended" - did anybody managed to extend a PR visa for an extra year?

Any experience getting $820 ROLF fee back (not landed, visa expired).

I check PM and email, any responses appreciated

Hi Bob,

The PR visa can not be extended under any circumstances. If you do not land in Canada before the visa expires it will be cancelled.

To get your ROLF back all you have to do is write a letter to Buffalo (or the consulate that issued you the visa) and tell them that you will not land and want a refund. It will take a couple of months to get the refund.

nothing recd yet

I had sent my docs back in june before the visa expired and still havent heard from the canadian consul in buffalo.

let me know if you have any other info. thanks
