Anybody got this RFE.

This is what I have received from my lawyer for RFE on my case.
I am confused with any organisation. what does it mean? Any input...

An affidavit for the following: If you were in any present or past membership in or affiliation with every political organization, association, fund, foundations party, club, society, or similar group in the US or any other place since your 16th birthday. Include any foreign military service in this part. Name of organization, location, dates of membership.

If you were not involved write this statement "None". Have this notarized.
 
There is a similiar space in I-485 application. My lawyer told me to fill in my association with any Organization(social, political, professional) while being in US. Of course, your are not supposed to be involved in any Political or related organizations with H1 status. I wrote the name of the Indian association which I was involved. This was also IRS registered one.

This particular query is much more broader, FBI has list of organizations which are in suspect or black listed. If you are not an Ex-Military from another country, I would suggest you to put NONE in your affidavit.

Please consult with your lawyer for more information.
 
There could various reason for this RFE. Some possible reason are:

1. You/your lawyer forgot to mention "None" in original I-485 application. Therefore, blank space resulted this RFE.

2. In FBI security check they got your name or similar name that is associated with an organization that is either already black-listed or they are closely monitoring.

If you are not associated with anyone, don't panic. Just mention "None".
 
Thanks. I guess we could have forgot to mention "None" in the original application.That caused this unsounded RFE.
Anyway I'll consult with my attorney.

Yeah .. Sounds like it... an unfilled space on the form can trigger legal questions.. you shd have mentioned "none" or "not applicable" ... if it was blank .. it can trigger this.. Check with your attorney .. and if you have the copy of the application .. pleas double check ...

If it is not any of this.. this is a whole new animal ...

and if this was the only RFE they could come up with ... your approval must be right round the corner... Advance Congratulations...

Consult your attorney. He or she should have a copy of your I-485 filing. Normally they keep with them. It is attorney's responsibility to check each questions. If you forgot to mention then they will defitely raise the question. During the preliminary check USICS send RFE due to incomplete form.

If you are not part of any such organization you should not be worried and create an affidavit and notorized it and send it to your attorney.

I also agree with all that they might have forgotten to fill that field in. In that case, consult your attorney. If you do not have any association, you can produce that affidavit. Your approval is around corner.
