Anybody got SS number after L2-EAD?

Did anybody got SS number after L2..EAD.

I applied my SS befor 3 week but not received yet. I went again to SS office today....They said your application is pending....They are not finding record in computer.....It will take some time to update new EAD record.

Is any one facing same problem...Please help me.
 
It depends on SSA office

Basically depends on SSA office. If SSA office decides to get verifications from INS, it will take 4 -6 weeks for INS to reply. And after getting reply from INS, SSA will take another 2 weeks time.

I think if you show Passport as identiity proof, SSA will send it to INS for verification. If u show Driver License, it will take 2 weeks.

BTW did u get receipt from SSA office? If not got to SSA office and get the receipt and then you can show this receipt to any potential employer.

PS: After getting my interim EAD ,I went to SSA office and has been told that it would take anything between 6 and weeks. BUT I got the receipt.
 
My wife was told a few times 4 weeks for SSN after L2 EAD at local SSA office. Yesterday she called 1-800-772-1213 and was told 12-20 weeks !!!
Is that true? Please share your experience.
