Even though I am not from New Jersey, I can tell you that you are not immediately eligible for an EAD based on marriage to a green card holder.

I am from NJ. My opinion is: married to a green card holder is not giving you any benefits other than to keep you in the country. I dont think you can get an EAD. Unless you have pending 485 application from your husband( assuming that you got married before he/she complete the process.)
You have to be able to file I-485 to get EAD, which means you need an approved I-130. I.e. it can take years, not much shorter than how long it will take to get a green card. Your only option if you want to work is to get a work based visa.dashags said:Hi!! yeah but the key is that an i-485 has to be filed in order for and Ead to be requested. and that can only happen if the petitioner is a citizen or the priority date is current.
