Anybody did code 2 FP still waiting I485 approval???

I know I belong to a small number of people who 1) applied GC before 2005, 2) did code 2 FP in May or June , and yet 3) still waiting for GC approval. I also know there are very few of us who did get approval shortly after code 2 FP, most of the others are still out there feeling frustrated. Let's track it AGAIN!!!

code 2 FP not seems to suggest an approval around the corner

code 2 FP does not seem to suggest an approval around the corner. I had code 2 FP on 5/12/05, ~2 months from now, while my case is pending on name check.

I guess code 2, in general, is a good things, maybe was designed to finalize your approve process. But name check seems to be the one that become unpredictable, thus holds up everything. :mad:
 
I'm having on July 19th. See my signature for details. Dates passed and no Approval. What a Service center we got.

it is safe to assume that everyone who received Biometrics without Approval ARE PENDING security check / name check.

As long as the applicant is not retro'ed (EB3), not for online EAD/AP application, AND allowed a reasonable waiting time (1 month??) but still no response, I would assume the case is pending for name check.

This assumption works for me - NC pending for 22 months and more.
 
How to initiate name check status

1. Should we take infopass appointment and check for name/security check. Will they entertain you.
2. Should we call USCIS ?
3. Should we directly approach the senator/congressman to check the status

Please guide.....
 
I did my biometrics (FP-Code2) on May 11th 2005 and there was an LUD on May 12th 2005. Status message is still the same.

Count me in...details in the signature. Did biometrics on July 5th, LUD on 485 changed to 5th and then changed to 6th the next day and no more changes after that.

OK, let me tell you guys the experience I had just half an hour ago. It may NOT make sense at all. I REPEAT, it may NOT make sense.

I called USCIS 1800 number again, since I haven't heard anything after I made inquiry last Thursday. After got my LIN number, the Rep asked me if I heard anything from them for past two months. I told him I received CODE 2 FP notice and did it in May. Upon hearing this, the Rep basically refused looking further on my case by saying " OK, you will receive a final decision within 60 days". Of course, I didn't buy it, kept on asking him if he could make an inquiry for me to find out if I was stuck in name check. Again, he refused by saying " Code 2 notice is very good thing. You will receive decision soon."

I still don't buy it, but it makes me feel a little better though. What should I do? CALL AGAIN sometime soon !!
 
I received a code 2 fingerprint notice back in May, however, I could not make it since I was outside of US. However, we went to do fingerprint with my re-schedule notice, they only did the regular 10-finger fingerprint for both my wife and myself, in the reschedule notice, no code information was mentioned.

Can anyone give me any suggestions? I talked with my lawyer's assistant, she could not help me.

I filed my I-485 on Feb 2004 has received 140 approval.
