I applied I-765 this month.
RD date: 6/6/2003
ND date: 6/10/2003

I received the receipt notice today. Guess what? I just checked the online status, it was APPROVED on 6/13/2003.

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status:

On June 13, 2003, after approving your application, we ordered a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.



Holly shit! I guess it is a new record. My H1B expires on Oct 31, 2003. Thanks to the stupid 150-180 processing days, now 5 months is gone.

TSC is totally insane, unpredictable.
 
oocyte: I talked to my lawer about a month ago

and he was pretty sure that TSC will move it's resources from different areas and concentrate on I-485 processing at any date. He also mentioned he has insider info that TSC is getting ready to adjudicate 485's. After pushing I-765s as much as possible(2-3 Wks RD to AD) TSC will concentrate on I-485s moving a significant portion of recources from I-765s also from I-140's and other areas. Gradually approval for I-765's/I140s will take longer and will see more and more adjudications of 485's.
About 3 yrs ago TSC cleared 7-8 months of 485 backlogs in 2-3 months. Lets consider a hypothetical processing date for TSC for September 30th, 2003

I-765 --- ND June 30th, 2003
I-485 ---- ND Sept 30th, 2001 (My Nd is sept. 2001)

Is it imaginable/dreamable ?? Please vote.

I believe U2's information. I think that TSC already pushed the I-765 limit, from 5 months to several days. That is it, I am pretty sure they are gonna move 765 people to other department soon, hopefully to 485 cases.

Let's wait to see whether we see flood of approvals of I-485 in 3 months.

nearly 210 days by now and no sign of approval yet.

man, do not get me wrong, I am kind of a little bit relieved.

Did you call TSC or the 1-800 numbers?

I called couple of times and they were helpless.
 
I just went to local INS and got my intrim EAD after 90 days and never bothered to call IIOs.
