Any way to expedite Advance Parole?

The Advance Parole for myself and my family has been lost. Called the INS today and spoke with IIO. She said that it has been approved in June. Since the INS cannot issue a duplicate the only alternative is to re-apply.

Does any body have any idea if there is any way the approval of new AP can be expedited.

I am based in LA. Any answers would be appreciated.

I never received it

INS says that they approved it on June 30, but I never got it.
Moreover, the AVM has also not been updated yet and it still sings "It usually takes 30-60 days blah blah..."

Same thing happened with someone I know. Approved and sent on July 15, no approval notice yet. Her lawyer sent a fax last week, no reply/action from INS side yet.

Someone posted somewhere on this board that when his happened to him, he went to local INS office; they issued another AP . If there is an emergency, you should go to local INS (I guess you will have to have a documentry proof of the emergency), otherwise apply again. CSC currently process APs within 6 weeks or so.

It appears that something fishy going on in AP mailing division of CSC. Lots of people are reporting this type of cases.

Problem with MailRoom

GoodSaint I think you are right. Just now I finished talking to my attorney and he mentioned that he has also not received the approval yet.

To summarize it : I did not receive it, the attorney did not receive it and the AVM has not been updated yet. One of my friend got it after 2.5 months (even though that time it was taking 4-5 weeks). There is definitely some problem with the mailroom. My attorney said that the officer approved it and updated it on the system and then the mailroom has not acted upon it.

GoodSaint I would appreciate if you can provide more details as to where your friend went and how many days it took him to get the second one. My email is Raj_nouse@hotmail.com

Thanks

What is the use of applying for AP again. Whats the guarantee that the same mail room problem won't happen again? I think the best solution is to go to INS office and get one.

my souse's AP was received 5 weeks after the AVM got updated that the case was approved. So wait for some more time.
Your attorney would get AP.

Lets all send an email/mail to this news paper action line. I read this regularly and they seem to resolve lots of issues (they talk to INS personally ). Don't forget to give your receipt number and address.
