Is it possible to get the passport stamp done at the port of entry (returning from India)? Actually, my wife is currenlty in India and planning to return in early June. Her 485 got approved last week and I\'ll be carrying the approval notice when I go to India next week. Any thoughts? Has anybody done/heard anything similar? Thanks in advance.

Passport got stamped this morning from New York INS. It took only 90 minutes to get everything done. Nice feeling... My heartfelt thanks to all of you for sharing your experience. This site has been very useful for me in the past few months. Thanks to the folks who maintain this site... bye for now.
