Any takers for Ric2's job?

Should I take up Ric2's job of cribbing and complaining about the slow speed of the INS and post a message everyday?

From I read today INS has been flooded with Address changes and it probably might be a while before I see my approval :

Looks like there arent many veterans around. Everyone seems to be silent these days. Of course, there are some who I wish never post… but they do anyway.

I didn’t care about the waiting when I was still waiting for the dates to become current… but now it seems so close but is still too far!

same feeling here, the more you get close to the final approval, the more you become uneasy...
when i submitted the 485 last year, i faced even more problems than now, however, i was not that anxious compare to nowadays...

with the vet. members gone, how should we keep this forum going?

After long time you have wrote any Post here.
How you been doing..

How about your case is it approved.. or you still waiting..

Good Luck
Peace..

Guys,

I wonder at some of the opinions expressed here.

This forum is not a battle where u need a general to lead the soldiers. Opinions/information r like amorphous jelly to begin with which can become rock solid thru discussions and more info. There is nothing like somebody being a veteran or a need for a cribbing "job" to be taken up.

I can relate this forum to a continually enriching sea-bed abound with precious jewels. More water will keep flowing across it bringing in more jewels and carrying some with it to be taken elsewhere.

If one gains tons of info on this forum, one can contribute too thru ideas echoed by others.

dma_va, you're no longer one of us... like milk, like jaxen

Eloquently put.

Just one thing though. This board is for we mental 485ers. We don't
need your kind around these here parts, pardnuh, just gloating
over us.

You need to catch the next stage out of Dodge and move on
over to the Post 485 group. <spits tobacco>

Congrats man! Good for you. And Ric2.

dma_va... thats some serious crap yo

Whats with the sudden philosophy?

We are just regular guys here trying to have some fun...

I dont think ric2 will be offended...

Well like the noble spicy poultry typeth.... you need to move on

Farewell my dear immigrant brother

chicken65,

I certainly can't match (or entirely understand) ur level of English slangs (no prejudice here), but would suggest for u to get out of this group/ghetto thinking. Why categorize people based on personal emotions? I don't feel I have become outcast amongst those who r still waiting for I-485 just coz I got mine approved.

I find myself offended by comments like "your kind". Tommorrow, when u get approved, will u be seeking another fictitious "group" to join? Please don't lead me to believe that educated people still think along such lines.

Com'on! Chicken65 was trying to be sarcastic! he did not mean anything offensive. It is definitely a language issue...

Chicken65, by the way, chewing tobacco is so unsexy... and so red-neck....

Let me just add a brief observation from a female part of this forum: it is interesting how guys here are much more emotional and open in expressing their anxiety when ladies are much more balanced and normally post only when they really have something to say.

Don't you find it amazing? I thought it supposed to be other way around...

You guys seems to be totally lost now when ric2 got approved. Who's gonna complain and curse and cry on your behalf now???

Poor-poor-poor boys....

dma_va!

No, no, no! You misunderstand. I was attempting - apparently
not very well! - to parody / emulate a John Wayne Hollywood cowboy
type and the way they speak (parduh == partner) in Westerns.

That's just common things they say in Westerns:
- We don't need your kind 'round these parts
- get on the next stage outta town
- get off your horse and drink your milk
etc.

You're not alone. No one understands my sense of humor.
I do really strange impressions and think silly things are
hysterical, when they aren't. My friends and colleagues
just think I a) weird b) sad or c) just tolerate me.

And of course, I don't want to see you go. None of us do.
Your analogy of the sea was spot on. It's just nice that with your
approval, we have the ability/luxury of being able to tease
you about doing so.

I wish you all the best!! And I figure you'll hang around here until
you get plastic anyway. Congrats, once more.

patienceGC, count me in!

Even though our date is close, I totally support we should do a campaign to INS for the slow movement!

Somebody with good writing please make a start, then we can work together.

My dear little chicken65! I understand you! Even though English is not my native language. So your sence of humor is not so weird after all... So please don't be depressed, there is enough depressed people on this board.
We can start a contest of who will figure out your jokes and whoever does it first gets the prize from you! Whatever it takes to keep people enetertained and away from getting depressed, right?
So, continue with your efforts, you are doing a good service to the community (now I am being a little sarcastic, but just a liiiiitle)

"Gettin the hell outta Dodge!" I pulled this one with my friend a few months ago and all I got was a blank stare!
I'm a cowboy, babyyyyyyyy............

Hey Chicken65

Dont feel dejected buddy, I totally freak out on your jokes and sense of humor, it makes me smile, when I am on the Train back home, and close my eyes and flash back thru the day.

And whats with the Tikka Masala, can you make that Manchurian Indian Style?????
