I have an October RD and my EAD is expiring 01/15/2003 and my H1 is expiring 12/30/2002. I am still on H1, When is the best time to apply for renewal of EAD. Is EAD or H1 extension a better option for me. Can I apply for EAD extension from local newark office or VSC.

EAD is Cheaper, Easier and gives you more Flexibility

A safe bet would be 60 Days before Expiry

I dont think NJ allows EAD renewal at local offices. (Not 100% sure though)

My lawyer asked me send my EAD renewal application to Newark cause my 485 has been transferred to Newark at 09/11/02. So I understand the newark will handle EAD renew for transferred case.
