Actually how long it takes to get the approval after AVM updates to response received. Please advice. INS received my response on 20\'th April and AVM was updated on 22 Apr. I am still getting the same old message \'On April 2o\'th we received your reponse blah blah\'. It is driving me nuts to hear the same message over and over again. Could somebody please suggest me a way to keep my self refrained from checking the AVM.

NIWPerson, Doesn\'t your birth certificate have parent\'s name on it?? If not, what you have submitted in response to RFE. Thanks for the info.

all i can say is that my original british birth cert. did nt have my parents names on it, and i didn\'t think about this being a problem at the time of i485 submission. For some reason i also have an updated and certified copy of my birth cert. which has all the details requested by the ins, so that was what i sent in with the rfe.

IIO says both (including my wife) have an RFE

Just came to know thru an IIO that an RFE was issued on April 25th 2002. IIO was not abele to reveal the RFE info. The IIO states that it was sent to the clerical dept and RFE needs to be generated from them. IIO expects that process to take another 2-3 weeks. Strangely the AVM has not updated still and has the same old theme. Spoke wiith my lawyer, he says the office has not received yet. How stupid is this?

My RFE was issued April 1, and received by them on April 10. Nothin yet. From what I read, it normally takes from 2 to 8 weeks for that kind of situation. I remember posts here saying that it took four monthes. Normally, as they say, you should start worrying after like 5th week. On May 8 it will be 4 weeks for me so I will probably call IIO.
