Any recent success of FOIA? How safe getting Copies from CIS by using FOIA..

I also having hard time to get my LC and I-140 approval copies from employer and attoreny. How thing of filing FOIA with CIS (VSC) to get copies. How safe is this and Any success stories recently? Thanks for your inputs.

It will be very much helpful if any body provide what to write on that form(G-639).
 
Did follow somebodies advice to get all my LC and I-140 papers.
FOIA to CSC was a success for me.
1. Sent a form G-6XX . Attested it with notary .
Attached my Driving license copy.
2. on Sep 14 (letter dated sep 11 ) that they have received my request and would put my request on simple track.
3. On Oct 6 received all LC and I-140 aproval. Needed it for a
RFE on my wifes' EAD extension case - I-140 approval.
Thanks to this dept.
4. Try FOIA they should be able to give you copies.

Write that you need Labor and I-140 approval papers as
you don;t have a copy.

Could u tell what all documents u received? Did u get the 750 A and B forms as well (which have job desc, code and salary)?

yes received things like everything in labor and I-140 sent on my case.
Yes did get ETA -a and B part also having job desc. salary , occ. code

mension why we need the copies? As u said u mensioned about RFE asnswering. BTW, how much it was costing you? Thanks..
 
Just wrote reson for the copies as " you need Labor and I-140 approval papers as you don;t have a copy."

For certain # of pages lie say 100-150 they dont charge.
It was a simple process for me

these 2 addresses for FOIA section in Laguna Niguel. I do not
know which one I should send the FOIA request to.

I know my I485 files is at the Laguna Niguel CIS office. A little
