What documents are necessary for iEAD... Do we need take photos (2 or more) or INS (CIS) will take the photos there...

I assume you need to take

1. Approved old EAD
2. EAD renewal receipt notice
3. Passport (driver license)
4. I-485 receipt....

That's should be it... no fees or anything else... Please confirm...

I think you need to wait another 3months to get i-ead. But, there is no *law * stated anywhere in USCIS website. I am also in same boat. My H1 is expiring Feb 28 2004. I dont want to spend another 1000 for lawyer h1 renewal process.. I have replied my on Nov 26 2003 and they updated website on Dec 1 2003. I have to go on March 1 2004 ( Illigelly working for 1 day...)

My current EAD expires on 01/29/04. I have applied for an extension on 09/25. So far I did not hear any thing..Should I apply for Interim EAD or wait for some more time...please advise.

you are in safe side by dec 25 u will complete 90 days u can go to any cnetre and get ut Interim EAD..

2nd EAD Approved

My 2nd EAD got Approved.

ND is 09/08/2003 & Approval Date is 12/08/2003.
It took me exactly 90 days to get the Approval.

For interim EAD. Just go to USCIS office. They asked us I-485 copy and old EAD copy.But it took us whole day in Newark office. They will take the picture and FP.

To get the I-EAD

485 -receipt, old EAD, EAD renewal copy and DL(for the residence evidence). I guess thats it. Go to any district service centre and apply. For safe side carry two ADIT style PIC
