Any preference for EB1 applicants?

Can anybody knows if there is any preference to process I485 faster than other types. One of my friend from Texas got everything related to I485 got cleared in three months. He was EB1!! Makes any difference?
 
EB1 matters during LCA. If one has a PhD, they can circumvent LCA stage. Once in I485, it shouldn't matter.

Define "everything". Is it AP or EAD or FP? Not sure what you're refering to.
 
Actually about a year ago, it seemed that EB1 were taking longer. Since the LC process is different, there is more importance on the 485 approval. Not all officers handle this.

In two months after applying for I-485, his passport was stamped. This is eight months back story. Based on that I felt may be they give prefference for EB1s. May be it is his luck.
 
It was his luck. There were many cases (like mine) that were pulled early for FP and then approved quickly. Mine would have been approved in only 5-6 months if not for an RFE and it still only took a year.
It is due to TSC inefficiency and not the EB1.
