Any one received RFE issued after 7/15/02?

sriniB and sonepudi.. look at this

I got a 'Employment' RFE too on 07/17/02. And guess what, my response received date also is 7/31/02. Looks like they update a bunch of applications in a batch.

I could not post before as I lost my previous ID. Had to open a new account.

You people are too optimistic. Even though it took a week or less for some cases there are lot of RFE cases that are pending for more than 3-4 weeks. Like mine My lawyer sent the response on 1st July and INS received it on 9th July(as per AVM) and i am waiting since then... Initially i was also optimistic like you guys expecting my approval in a week or two(mine was a simple RFE for 2 W2s and three pay stubs)... but its more than that.

Please note that i am not discouraging anyone here but just telling the truth. Wish all of us Good luck.

I think it is up to the officer how to process the cases with RFE's. Looks like some officers process the cases as soon as they receive the RFE Reply. Some process all the cases assigned before processing the RFE replies. This is my guess.:confused:
 
it depends on the officer

I agree with sdonepudi.... every thing depends on the officer who picks up the case !!!
 
About RFE and Tax filings

Just curious to know, will it make any difference if the address on the tax filings or pay checks is different from the address on the I-485 filing.

As I expected, my case was approved on 08/02/2002. Pretty cool, when INS is predictable...

Good luck all of you whose RFE responses were received on and around 07/31/02.
