Any one applied for EAD in AUG-2000 and still not got Approval notice

Applied EAD for my wife on 18-aug-2000. Approved on 25-OCT-2000 through automatic voice mail system (AVM). So far not received the approval notice or AD card.
RD 18-Aug-2000, ND 17-SEp-200

Noup, the AVM system says it is approved on Oct 31st and will take 60-90 days to process the card.

same with me and my wife, AVM says EAD approved for both of us on 10/26/00. Not received the cards yet. May wife has a job offer, Can she start working, without receving the card ?
