hi everyone

IS THERE ANYWAY THAT SOMEBODY CAN GET SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER WITH TOURIST VISA IN LA ? AND HOW LONG IT TAKE ? I HEARD THEY ISSUE SS# WITH TOURIST VISA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SSN on tourist visa

I dont know of any way you can get SSN on tourist visa. Not even the people on dependent visa get SSN. Only people who are going to earn in US and pay taxes get SSN.
 
No. That will not happen, sometimes you can get issued an ITIN for tax purposes, but not a SSN.

Please do not post in all CAPS. IT IS VERY ANNOYING!

It was true 10 years ago, not anymore. I got my SSN in 1996 using a tourist visa (it was stamped "not valid for employment") but they don't issue SS numbers to tourists nowadays. I am from L.A.
