Any help on I485 transfer to INS, Detroit,MI

Hi,

Heard last night that my case has been transferred to Detroit,MI from VSC for scheduling an interview and it might take \'several\' months to schedule this interview. Does any kind soul know approximately how much time is \'several months\' ? INS \'helpline\' doesn\'t help !!

How come INS transferd your case to Detroit ? Do you live in Detroit area now ? How did you come to know about this case transfer ? I filed my 485 in VSC when I worked in PA and afterwards I moved to Michigan. I\'m curious to know about your case transfer.
My details : PD 6/96, ND 8/99, RD 7/99.

No. So far, I haven\'t got any RFE. I am getting very wide estimates - from 2 months to 14 months !! Want to know if anyone has \'real\' experience with Detroit, MI.

Does this mean your case is approved and you are waiting for passport stamping interview?
Did you move to Michigan from a VSC region after filing your 485 ?
Where did you do your FP ? (Michigan or in any VSC region).
I did my FP in Michigan per request from VSC.

I don\'t know if my case is approved yet ! I haven\'t got any letter to that effect from INS.
I had my FP done in MI. Perhaps that\'s why the case is transferred. Do you know
what is the approx. wait time ?
