any guess for new processing dates

any guess what it could be?

I think "June 01 2003"

That would be my guess also (based on extrapolating the last update :)). I'd actually prefer not to see the dates move -- they're pretty much meaningless and just open the door for more people to initiate inquiries and slow things down even more...

as ETA-GC pointed out, the dates are useless. There are still people from 2002 who are yet to be cleared and their idiot site shows the dates as June 2003.

Obviously, there are people who applied before June 1, 2003, whose cases have not been adjudicated. However, that does not mean that processing dates are entirely meaningless. For one, we saw a remarkable increase of activity with June -- September, 2003, cases around the time they moved the processing date to June 1, 2003.

I read somewhere that these dates were never meant to indicate that all the cases filed before have been adjudicated. I am not sure what the exact criteria for moving dates are, but there are such criteria.

The original criterion was that unless all the cases filed before that date were taken care of, the dates did not move. Hence the crawling movement of dates earlier. I think due to Rajiv Khanna's case on INS, those guys decided to wisen up and fool the world by moving dates ahead even if one got approved.

While I do admire Rajiv and his efforts, I am not sure how much impact his lawsuit had so far on the overall situation with I-485s. Surely, we see some improvements, but I am not certain they are linked to the lawsuit. In fact, I do not know where the court is with that lawsuit. Have they ruled on giving us a class status?
