Any good dandiya place in New jersey ?

Anyone aware of a good dandiya place in NJ today....


There is one in Central Jersey. Are you guys aware of any other...
 
We can only do what we can do. It is good to go out and forget this for some time. Don't you think so ?
Approval rate will be better soon.
 
I know a place in Vermont.

Its a wonderful place for Dandiya.
Even if you don't know how to play dandiya, you can hit the IIO's with DANDA.
Since the tunes of Phalguni Pathak and Babla are so fast, hitting will be fun.

I can suggest some good places in DC area though.

"Munnnnaaaa....Bhaaaai, dandiya pyaar se khela jata hain, maar se nahin"
 
In this case, I suggest Sai use 2-inch thick steel bars as Dandiya sticks and hit IIOs on their head.

It is a festival where couples dance and play with short wooden sticks. The couple gently strike each other's sticks while dancing.
Dandiya means 'sticks'. It is beautiful to watch.

I remember going somewhere last year - it was either edison or princeton! Will ask my husband and let you know. It was sponsored by western union - maybe they'll do it again this year?
 
I read about it somewhere. I like Indian songs and dances. Unfortunately I don't understand a word.

Go to Newark Avenue in Jersey City tonight.
There are going to do dandiya on street the way they do it in India. Mahesh/Naresh Party will be
the guest singer for tonight.
 
Yup, that's the one I am aware of, but I hear it will be very crowded.

Yes, but I could not even get in bcos of the crowd, and had a hard time finding a decent parking place.

Fishkill Hindu Samaj Temple holds this Dandiya around diwali weekends...

Search for Hindu Samaj, NY in google..!
 
Yes, I know that place since i was an active member of that temple when I lived there. We are having one in Dobbs Ferry too, but as you know NJ has the best dandiyas.
