Any GCers buying a firearm for recreation/hunting?

Just wondered whether any of you guys had any plans
on purchasing a firearm, as I wish to exercise a new
and wonderful freedom. In the UK, after knee-jerk
illiberal legislation was rammed through, recreational
shooters had their firearms confiscated by the Nanny
state.

I hope this beltway sniper dude is a US citizen and not
a naturalized citizen else we may pay the price when
it comes to buying a gun.

Hey, on a serious note, did you know that we're
eligible to join the US military now, and that we
are required by law to register for Selected Service
if we're under the age of 35?

That means that we can be drafted! I have never
seen it mentioned here, but it is the law.

My Lawyer did mention that my kids have to register for selective services when they are 18, as for me I am already over that 35 years Hill.
 
I thought the cut-off age for selective services is 26. I read somewhere that permanent residents under 26 should register.
