Hi:

I had fingerprinting done in Des Moines at the end of Nov. 2000. We were the only people there, even though we reached at around 10am! The whole process took about 10 mins each for me and my wife. I took my passport, EAD (or other INS issued ID, only if it exists, but you definitely need the Alien number), FP notice form, I-485 receipt. I think all these are pretty necessary. They also ask you to fill a simple form, and they stamp a return a copy of that to you. Note that they will keep the FP notice with them, so if you want to keep a copy, make one before you go there.

The lady there was very patient. Just let go of your hand and let them position it whatever way they want. When she is checking the FP\'s, go ahead and tell her politely if you think that one of the FP\'s on the screen looks bad.

Of course, the only way to ensure that your FP\'s were accepted is to call the service center a 3-4 weeks after this FP\'ing to ensure that they have reached the service center without problems.

Good luck! Piece of cake!

Thanks Anxiouslywaiting for your posting. I was just wondering what is the deal with \'neutregina\' hand cream? My wife\'s finger is very small. Her fingers are not at all water-resistant -- meaning if it remains in water for sometime -- it has some temporary mark. Does she have to take any special precaution for this problem ? Will this norwegian formula \'neutregina\' take care of this?

Thanks.
